 New Town Hall

Friday, August 21, 2020

Peter and family, Lou and Mariann, Barb and Marilyn and I spent a couple of days at the farm.  The weather was great so we could put the boat and kayaks in Lake 10.  The garden looks really good but there will be a limited amount of squash.  Not much sweet corn yet, but there will be some in a week or so.  The potato crop is spotty and that was expected with all the rain.  The new haroldson apple tree that Barb planted last year has apples but there is only three on the honeycrisp trees.

Barb and I dug out the ditch leading to the swamp and used the sod to cover the area where Lou and I removed the tree stump from the tree that Pat Quinn saved years ago.  It had died recently.  The bobcat ran great and we used it a lot.

June and July highlights and pictures.  The corn is now 6 feet high.  The potatoes are doing great as is the garden.  The septic tank is pumped out and good for 6 years.  It was pumped out at the right time as it had hard used for the preceding 2 weeks.

Planting time

Barb, Marilyn and I finished getting the potatoes and garden planted and other things necessary to get ready for the summer.  There are 4 pumpkins hills just north of the potatoes.
