Home improvements continue at the farm.  Barb and Dave Klun did most of the day installing the new bay window in the house in 90 degree heat.  The old windows are gone thanks to Dave who hauled them to St. Paul to a disposal center.  Norb is mostly finished with the structure for installing a composting toilet that he bought near Milwaukee that Mariann and Lou hauled to the farm.  Barb has fabricated new stools for all the windows and will make all of the trim.  Dennis is making all new jams.  The wood from the 125 year old pine trees that were in the front yard are being used for the stools, jams and trim.  We decided that the old trim that Dee spent a lot of time removing would not work, but thanks for your effort.

We had a nice rain that help with the garden and potato patch but it is still really dry.  By the looks of radar there may have been some rain in the area today.  We made and executive decision to remove the blue couch to make more room in the living area.  With the bay window out it was easy to remove.  A local resident (Mabie) picked it up for their grandson who will be attending college in Eau Claire this fall.
